Relax, enjoy, and create your own unique decorative Lil’ Potting Shed in this Pottery Workshop with Bex from R Ceramics.

In this workshop held at Lynda Hallinan's exquisite Sweetgum Cottage & Garden, Bex from R Ceramics (@r__ceramics) will begin with a basic demonstration of how to make a charming Lil’ Potting Shed using basic pottery hand-building slab techniques. You’ll then go through the process with her support, creating a Potting Shed (or similar) designed and decorated by you. This workshop includes creating your piece with clay, then learning how to use minimal underglazes to colour and decorate it.

Bex will (carefully) take your creation home. She will bisque fire it, glaze your piece (clear glaze with a roof colour of your choice) and will then do a final firing. Your Potting Shed will be ready 3-4 weeks later for collection from Bex’s home studio in Hunua.

No need to bring anything but yourself on the day – all materials, aprons, and ideas (if you want them) are provided.

- Suitable for ages 12+
- No skills required; everything is provided, from the template to plenty of encouragement!
- Includes all materials, clay, tools, glazes & firing
- Light refreshments provided
- The Potting Shed size is approximately 10.5cm tall, 8.5cm wide and 8cm deep in its finished state.
- The workshop starts at 1.30pm but you're welcome to arrive a little earlier and enjoy a tiki tour of the amazing Sweetgum Cottage Garden.
- As it’s winter, make sure you’re wearing some warm clothing.

Please note that spaces are limited. No refunds are available, if you are no longer able to attend, your ticket can be transferred for someone to come in your place. A minimum number of 8 people are required for the workshop to take place. In the unfortunate event that the event has to be cancelled, then you will be refunded fully.
